Series 2: Hotel Bargain
Next thing is where to sleep. Even I am poor, I don't want to sleep under the bridge in such a cold weather. I suggested Montbleu(CASINO ding ding ding) to them after I saw a post on fatwallet, but the rich manager said it's too far to the ski resort so we rejected the idea.
So after a day long of research, rich manager came down with 5 choices for us to pick. I ranked them in bed avaliability down to comfort and last is price.
Rich manager surprised I ranked the cheapest place last. So I had to justisfied my ranking. I claimed if we living that far from the resort, I would rather live in Montblu which is just next to the cheapest hotel (which is their sister hotel).
So the executives went to check out the casino website and found the price is really attractive. After the executives reviewed the business requirements, they decided it's the place to book.
So it all came out to be around $96/per night to book through the hotel website, which is at least 30 bucks cheaper than the other 5 hotels the rich manager suggested.
But wait, one of the executives asked me for the final time if we should hit the GO button. I thought it's already a good deal, but since the people above me want me to do one last research, I went ahead and did a search on google.
First I found a better deal from some website which has it for ~$85 a night. People are all excited. Then I found a even better deal on cheaptickets.com which offer 30% off for booking 4+ night.
With such a huge difference, we didn't hesitate to booked our hotel at 60ish a night. (REMEMBER the AA price gouge????)
