Too bad patch 3.3 you don't really need a mount. You can just summon into the instance. Not much time u can show off your drake.
Patch 3.3 is your friend
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoWWoot!! Got Battered Hilt, dropped yesterday when healing on my druid. Now which toon would get the reward?
New Patch 3.3 bring one of the best features in the game: Dungeon Finder. You can click on it and queue up as you specify your role (tank, heal, dps, or dual spec etc). It will summon you once all the party are accepted the automatic invitation. If you are tanks or heals, it almost instantly will get you into the dungeon. No more nonsense LFG in trade chat. I guess it's b/c there's awlays shortage on tanks, a harder to find a good one!! But on the other hand, roll your dice on getting a good group. I got in AN run recently and I had to solo the last boss with 10% health on it. There's always some fresh lvl80 that has no gear and no idea what to do. SIGH!!
Go read here if you haven't. http://www.wow.com/2009/12/08/patch-3-3-the-dungeon-finder-guide/

Busy week
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy /So busy this week, both at work and... hmm... weekend.
1. fixing major data syncing error for those idiot people from oracle. Gosh those idiots made a mess on the data and the guy supposed to take care of it is on vacation. Everything falling on my shoulders....
2. Those people from California are dummy aslo. Long stroy short, one of the department decided to go outside to find someone to develop something based on the database we've already had. WTF that dummy should come to my department to ask for assistance first. I would have been done by me instead. Instead, I have to deal with those software engineers that know shxt. and they are slow and full of crap.
3. working with jquery. Good and bad. Maybe I should try silverlight instead.

Full of FUN stuffs to do this weekend:
Friday: tex mex dinner!!!! fijitas plz!!!
Saturday: helping Kit to move. WTH, it's like the.... 4th time he moved in the past... x yrs. Just settle down, boy. and don't live on the 3rd floor if u not staying there for at least a yr.
Saturday night: bachelor party for Allen. Oh oh oh... what we gonna do beside eating wings at hooters? Does Kala eat hooters wings? :O
Sunday: BBQ BBQ BBQ. Annual HK BBQ (as they called it annual) at memorial park. No basketball, but gonna play football instead. Come get me, Kevin Bowen!!! Let me burn you fat a$$. More trash talk to Bowen, opps... I mean Kevin Manning.

Getting Serivce Book for Blackberry
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: BlackberryAfter doing extended research on how to "hack" my Blackberry, finally got the BB browser to work. All I really need to is get the service book from other people, (backup the original one just in case) load it to my phone. I still don't have push email yet, but I am happy to get the internet to work, except some site (e.g. BB main site) just can't be opened even I enabled the javascript.
I was able to install MSN Live Messenger and google Mail. But they both can't connect. From what I've read, both not suppose to work without BIS. I have to use a 3rd party IM software --Beejive-- to get msn and google talk to work on my Tour.
At this point, I don't feel like to pay extra 10 bucks per month just to get the push email and IM to work. I don't really need any BB app anyway. All I care is IM and check email, push email is convenient but not a must for me.

Blackberry Tour
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: BlackberryFinally decided to go with the Blackberry Tour instead of the HTC TouchPro2.
I ordered my phone last Thursday, and it arrived the next day.
First thing I tried to do is opened up the battery compartment. I followed the instructions... push the button at the bottom and SLIDE down. I keep trying to slide the door down. But kept failing. WTF this door is so hard to push? I finally gave up and went back to my wow for the rest of the night.
The next morning I tried it again, someone I tried to pop it up instead of sliding it down, bang, opened it up and put the battery in. After charging the battery for the whole morning, I tried to activate the phone. Went to Sprint and try to login, and the damn login page was not working for the whole fxxking weekend. The god damn instruction came with the box told me to activate online, kept trying and trying and fxking not working. after several hours of struggle and given Sprint time to put the service back online, I finally decided to activate my phone thru CSR. (BTW, sprint CSRs are the most inconsistent ever). Surprisingly the activation went smoothly with this lady definitely from some outsource company with heavy Indian accent.
Ok, first step is down. Next step is to get internet to work with my new BB. I have been reading forums and forums about how to get the serice book pushed to the BB. First try, CSR told me I need to add 30 dollars BIS (blackberry internet service) on top of my existing plan. Told her no thx and I hang up.
2nd try, got to a lady that finally knew what's happening after I told her my BB browser not working. She said most likely I need the $10 BIS addon, which I was hoping for free service book pushed according to most forum post, although $10 BIS is the next best option. So I told her to add the BIS in and see if that fix my problem. No, even with BIS and hard reset, BB Browser still not working. Then she transferred me to BB support. The guy there kept telling me I need a $30 BIS. No point to argue with him since he's not knowing all the special offer code. I told him I will think about it before I decide, so I hang up again. 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th calls still no luck.
After all these I decided to install Mini Opera (some web browser for mobile phone) through BB Desktop Manager. hmmm... Mini Opera works, but I could not install any IM on the phone. gosh.... at least I can check email for now....
After digging deeper into another forum, I found a post about getting the backup service book restored to the BB and it would work, I can't wait to go home to try that.
Overall, I like the BB Tour. It's pretty slick with all the apps you can download(only if I get the service book). The typing and control take awhile to get used to after converting from a windows mobile phone to a BB.

Low Carb Diet
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: DietFinally met up with shxtty Dave on Thursday at Saltgrass. :O
I walked to the door that night and I saw a guy looking at me, hmmm.. I was wondering wtf was wrong with this guy, and as I walked closer toward the door, I recognized it's the shxtty Dave I had to meet today. WTF was wrong with him? He's not that fat shxtty guy (probably 230 lbs) anymore. He definitly looked whole lot skinner. FFS, he face not round like a ball anymore. He also shaved his head (where all the long hair go?). Good stuff good stuff.
We sat down at the table and as expected he asked for Dr. Pepper, except this time he wanted a diet one. Unfortunately Saltgrass has no diet cough medicine (I called Dr. Pepper cough medicine b/c it does taste like it, which I don't like).
He told me he stopped eating carb -- bread, rice, potato-- anything with sugars and starch is bad. Lots of poteins --- meat cheese, dairy are good, even fat. :O
After seeing he lost so much weight, I am tempted to try, so here is my so called "research"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/lowcarb101/a/gettingstarted.htm
"“No White Diet" works for many people. Basically, you just stop eating food with sugars, white flour (pasta, bread, cake, donuts, etc), white rice, and potatoes (some include milk). This effectively cuts back on the carbohydrate in your diet, especially the high glycemic types. Just realize that there are also white foods, such as tofu, cauliflower, and onions, that are low in carbs and good for you! "

Back to Action
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoWAfter a night long of scanning virus and changing all the security setting, I finally got my PC back to running stage. I am gladed win7 installation is so smooth. The only driver I needed to download is Nivida and SoundBlaster. Wait, why I have to download the Sidewinder X8 driver from MSFT? MSFT should at least recognize their own product with a hardware scan. Luckily I haven't found any virus/malware crap on my pc. (is it good or bad, who knows.)
I actually did try to move a backup wow folder over to my freshly reformatted PC, but it couldn't run any updates, so I might just as well downloading the wow client 6.5GB from blizzard took like 3 hours with all the updates. I am gladed they have such service. I hate to reinstall from scratch. The original wow has 4 CD, although I put all of them into a DVD now, but still a pain to install just that.
Next to do: setup my wow UI again. Gosh, gonna be a pain and lots of work. Hmm.. this site is pretty useful. http://dreambound-druid.blogspot.com/search/label/mods
and they introduce a new addon for me... lunarsphere, gonna have to try it.
Lots of addon need to download...

Got hacked
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoWMy computer got hacked last nite. I was playing wow since I got home. After a boring BRD run for brewmaster achievement, I went to take my shower. When I came back, I noticed one of my wow addon interface change. I tried to find one of the item in my inventory but it kept going to the map and zoom out. I thought my keyboard screw up so I reboot my machine. Same thing happen again.
Then I saw my msn messenger had my toon's name on the search box but spell it wrong. Apparently someone tried to mess with me. It was a scary thing. The "hacker" kept me from checking my in game mail by hitting the map (M) and right clicking on the map.
When I closed down my wow and opened a notepad on the side, he acutally typed something related to a conversation with my friend earlier that night. I unplug my network cable immediately. :O
I changed my pwd to my wow and email account immediately with another source of connection and different computer. I am going to format my computer today when I get home from work. It may take awhile to get everything going again.
GEEEZ, the only thing that came across my mind was few days ago I accidently click on some ad on a website and a window pop up. Is it so easy to get hacked?

Patch downloaded quite smoothly but everything was so lagged.
I went ahead and respec my Pally to transmutation spec which took me awhile to figure out I needed to dropped my Potion Master first. Man, wasting 150G for dropping it twice while I testing something.
The new daily heroic is a must do everyday. Did I mention about all the Emblem of Conquest dropped from all heroic boss?
The new 5 man dungeon is cake walk, and even the normal mode drop all epic and the trinket is a must farm material. Man, Living Bomb is just totally awesome. It's my new favorite spell. Mages finally got the DoT we have all been waiting for. Since Living Bomb proc HotStreak!, my pyroblast keep firing left and right.
Haven't really play much on my other toon yet. Prot Pally got some good buff which I want to try very soon. Druid lifebloom got nerf again, how sad.
XT002 was bugged last night. After the heart dropped, adds just kept spawning nonstop. It was crazy but worth the repair bill to take a look at. But at least I got achievements: Heroic: Nerf Scrapbots.
So instead of beating our head on the bugged boss, we went to try out the new 25man normal mode Trial of the Crusader.

Good article. Now I know more about how the macros work.
http://casualhardcore.wordpress.com/2008/12/29/pally-healing-320-macros/
Got in guild heroic run last night. As we struggle to find a healer, I mentioned I had a healing spec on my pally but super undergear. To get the heroic going, Angus offered to tank Nexus so I can get my healing mace.
Str has very poor aggro management. I always had to heal him up. He seems to like aoe stuffs alot in melee range before the tank get the initial aggro. All I can say is ADAPT.
I was setting up spell and learn the pally healing aspect of the game as we went. I didn't know all the spells so I just spammed Flash of Light in most of the first part of the run. As I finally settled down a bit I read about the tooltips on the spells. Found out the glyph of Holy Light also heal 10% on the surrounding target.
Things I forgot:
I always forgot to judge wisdom, keep Beacon of Light up, use the shield spell....
Another thing, I put rank 1 Holy shock on the action bar... no wonder it only heal like nothing. NOOB.
Only good thing was we didn't wipe. I am looking forward for another heroic run with uber tank. Don't count me in if it's that noob dk tank..... The one said he can offtank Naxx with 440 defense.... scary.

Just checked the weather, it's 90 degrees right now. I better go out to eat somewhere else today instead of eating home made hot dogs.
Been running heroic with Iisqa for a few days in a row since I hit 80 on Friday night. It's been a bad luck run mostly. Lots of healing gear drop instead of something I rather wanted.
Iisqa kept telling me it's a sign I should go Holy. I finally decided to pickup the healing gear last night. Shortly after the UK + UP run, I logon to my acution house dummy and sent some of the healing plate gear I bought for cheap which was about to be de for the dream shard. Guess I need to read up on how to be a healadin. :O

This stupid connection thing drive me nuts. It all started happening on Monday night, when I was leveling my pally running around to do quests. Then around 11pm, my toon was running at the same spot like on a trackmill.. I thought it's just the lag. Well, about few second later I got disconnected. I checked on the modem and the CABLE light is blinking. So I know it's the comcast problem. I thought it's just a glutch but no. It kept happening every once awhile for the whole night. Since I was tired anyway so I went to bed.
Next day, around 11pm, the same shxt happened again. I was forced to sit out the raid b/c I just couldn't stay online. I called the comcast 1-800 number and resent the signal. Hmm... work for maybe 10minutes then the connection crap out again.
So on Wednesday, I submitted a request/question/technical support whatever they called it. Their automatic email system acknowledged my ticket.
In the evening, at the same time, 11:08pm to be exact, I got disconnected again. I called the 1-800 nubmer again to resend the singal. Didn't help much. I got disconnected every now and then. So I called and talked to the CSR. She claimed she went to check the log and saying I was currently connect. DAAAA, the connection drop and reconnect every now and then. Sure you could see my modem is connect at that moment but obviously you didn't check the log. I repeatedly told her it happened at the same time for 3 nights in a row. I guess that didn't written down as a standard question/answer on her script given by the manager. Anyhow, I setup an appointment for the technican to come to my house to check it out.
I don't think the technican can find anything wrong with it. It got to be something in their server have some kind of scheduling to reset the server or some sort of crap. It happened about 2 years ago when I got disconnected every night at the same time. After a long struggle they finally fix the problem. Obviously talking to the night shift CSR didn't help much. They just reading the script their managers hand to them. The last resort for them is to schedule an appointment. If then else...
or should I use Switch case statement?? simple flow chart, simple answer.
Quick Reference to Ret Pally
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoWElitist Jerks Ret Pally Thread
same as other melee class, we need 8% to be 2H melee hitcapped vs bosses
26 expertise (6.50%) to be expertise capped.
17% spell hit cap: the skills affected by this are exorcism, holy wrath and consecrate ticks. This is not that important to pally.
Ret Pally is more on a FCFS (first Come First Serve) rotation. So it makes sense to cast your highest damage spell first.
CS > HoW > Judgement > DS > Consecration > Exorcism > Holy Wrath
STAT (highest to lowest): Hit, Str, Exp, Crit, Agility, Haste, ArP, AP, SP, Int, Stam, armor

Tanking is not for noob
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoWRecently a guildie wanted to try tanking and wanted to hear our opinion about it.
Here's what I posted on the forum.
I say go try tanking some instance first. See if you enjoy tanking
You will get frustrated b/c dps pull aggro from you
You will be like "oh shxt" when healer pull aggro
Learn to click your "panic" button when your health is low
AOE tanking is much easier than BTC but still not as easy as those op dk/pally
refresh commanding shout is a pain....
remember to put vigilance on someone
People always blame you for not generate enough threat
You can't be the first one to run out when you see a wipe is coming
Everything is your fault =)
Apparently I am on the spot.
Here are some responded to my post.
Don't tank unless you have a burning desire to do so. Tanking isn't really something you just kinda want to do so you'll try it out. There is a lot less margin for error while tanking, you win or lose fights(sometimes).
I agree with gnomi 100% the truth hurts
From a raid member point of view giving advice to a potential tank, Gnomi said it all, so I second his responce. If you can train your minions (raid members) to not pull agro & take the stress of what Gnomi said, give tanking a shot.
If your going to tank it's a long and ever learning process.

Taking a week off
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoWYeah, taking a week off from raid, just for watching the rockets.
Went to have crawfish last night at Pappadeaux on Westhimer and Kirkwood. Size is good, order is bigger than normal. Special will end on 19th, so probably go back there next week.
Oh, here is a awesome video. It quickly reminded me of Vardant in real life... got to watch. One part is summoning his mount (BIKE). Good stuff.

I think only the rich can afford landlines now. Who in the world need a landlines anyway? Landlines = more sell calls. Even back in the old days I don't answer the damn phone at home anyway. It mostly just some idiots calling to sell something. Screw that. Even when I answered the phone, whoever they asked for I just told them they were not here bla bla bla. Sometimes those idiots are so annoying even you tell them NO they just keep going. I try not to be rude so I just let them finish reading their script and tell them I am not interested and bye.
And do you realize how expensive a landline is?? Geez, they cost arms and legs man. If you still want a landline, you just ask for more trouble. And, obviously, you have too much money throwing around.
Finally had some decent steak at Saltgrass on my birthday. I mentioned to my friends don't need to get a cake, but my friends got me one anyway. Opps, I didn't make a wish. but they never come truth anyway. Maybe I always ask for too much? =O
Anyway, thanks for those coming and actually read this blog. (No follower on the right hand side. on this blog.....)
BTW, go Rockets. Good to win game 1 at L.A. It was a scared moment when Yao went down after bumping knees with Kobe. Good that he came back strong and finished the game.
Too bad I was helping my failed DK friend Vardant (opps, did I mention name here?) to finish off his achievement at UP and I missed most of the first half. At least the PuG did a decent job, except instead of having just 1 noob, we had a huntard and a noob healing tagging along, which made it count as 3 noobs.
When I asked the huntard to trap one of the targets, he actually ran into the target and lay a trap under it's feet. WTH!!! don't know how to pull the mob?? Oh god..... That's epic fail.
On the 3rd boss noob healer standed in shxt and got himself kill. I believed I played with him before. Blacke or something.... horrible noob pally.
At least noob DK not failing to stand in shxt. I am glad he finally not the worst nOOb in the game!!!

Children's Week = pvp weekend
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: Wow - AchievementsFinally got all my For The Children achievement done. This achievement istowards completion of What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been (Alliance version) which rewards the Violet Proto-Drake.
I've been pvping for 2.5 days for School of Hard Knocks. Pretty much all I did on Saturday was pvping on both my mage and warrior. It helps if you have an organized group going to help you to get your achievement done. But Mr. Fail did managed to completed it on his fail DK running around with a green weapon. LOL.
Bad Example is easy if you know someone to make you a Delicious Chocolate Cake or you can buy it from AH for 40G.
I am gladed it's finally over. At least we will have a long while before the next achievement is up.
Windows 7 RC
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: Windows 7Update on 5/5/2009: Avaliable now at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx
Windows 7 RC (release candidate) will be avaliable to public on the 5th. If you have MSDN or TechNet subscription, you can download it now. The good thing is it won't expire until June 1, 2010.
http://blogs.msdn.com/e7/default.aspx
From the blog, there's alot of improvements. I am going to give it a shot and install it next Saturday. (Not Friday b/c Rockets playing the Lakers and I am going to the game, Tuesday and Thursday are raid nights, Wednesday usually have conference call and rest of the week tried to get my WoW achievements done).
I have very high expectation for Windows 7 and I expect it to run fast and smooth compare to Vista. I do like Vista for it's driver support on ease of install and it run fine on my machine. People just don't understand they need more than 2GB of ram to run Vista.
Noble Gardner + For the Children
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: Wow - AchievementsIn order to get the Violet Proto-Drake, I am trying to accomplish What a Long, Strange Trip It's been.
I finished To Honor One's Elders, Fool For Love, and just a few steps away from complete Noble Gardener on 2 of my toons. Here comes to fourth ones right before Noble Gardener end tomorrow. For The Children is pretty straight foward, but required you to take your little kid to do PVP achivement. Children's Week runs from Friday, May 1st at midnight through Thursday, May 7th at 11:59 PM. As soon as I am done with Noble Gardener with my mage, I will jump right into For The Children. Oh boy, I am expecting lots of pvp this week.
REMEMBER: DON'T TURN YOUR WHISTLE IN UNTIL YOU GOT ALL YOUR ACHIVEMENT.
Here is where you start: go grab your whistle
http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=10954
Here's a list of Achievements to do this week.
Home Alone - easy sauce
Daily Chores -- log in and do a daily each day for 5 consecuctive days.... better start today and latest you can start doing this is Sunday.
School of Hard Knocks -- This going to be the hardest. You want to get in premade or guild run for this achievement.
Bad Example -- cooking? No problem. I should have all the recipes
Aw, Isn't It Cute? -- This is last thing you want to do. You turn in your whistle for a pet.
Hail To The King, Baby -- Not too hard, but required you to be lvl 75 to enter UP. Just do it in normal mode if you fail like those 80 dks.

OSRT first look at Uldar
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoW - RaidNot a bad week at all. We went to pay a visit to Uldar -- the newest raid instance in the game this week.
Tuesday: After a one shot kill on Flame Leviathan, we wiped for 3 straight hours for the next 2 bosses. Wipes fest!! It doesn't look pretty
Thursday: Since Plunk was going to be late, we went back to do Malygos first. Then we went on to do 2D OS. Guess people still sleeping and can't stay away from the flame waves. Geez, how long would it take these people to stay out of bad stuffs? Don't hit by waves!!!!
After we downed 2D OS, we shifted our focus back to Uldar. The first attempt at XT-002 started off pretty good. After a few tries, we finally made it before the old enrage timer(old timer was 6min, Blizz hot fix it yesterday to make it enrage at 7min mark) by 2 sec.
Next we tried Razorscale. First we tried to single target and interrupt the chain lightning. Didn't work too well, so we moved the pack together and AOE them down. It's much better and able to take a few swing at the boss. At our last attempt of the night, somehow people staying alive without standing in WW or fire, we able to took the boss down to 50% in his 2nd landing. There after was the final phase and adds wouldn't spawn anymore. 2 tanks took a tons of damage and didn't realize they need to kite the boss until the very end. Kudos to Plunk realized that and withstand for a long while after Jorge went down.
Good stuff. That's OSRT style killing boss on the very last attempt.
Razorscale is pretty easy, after we took the right approach.

Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: DealsWoW Patch 3.1 finally goes Live!!!
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoWThe long waited Pach 3.1 finally arrvied. The most anticipated feature is the dual spec. I don't care much about the new Argent Tournament, especially those dailies, it gonna be a gank ground there. The dual specs is just so awesome with 1k gold. You can change your spec with a click of a button.
Last night was a expected bad night for raid with all the lag and server instability as we have seen that before back in the good old days when we tried to raid in Black Temple. It's more a night for people to get their addons fixed and get used to new spec. We ended up calling it a night after we got booted several times by the server.
All the glyphs are sold like hot cakes. It's the best time to sell glyphs and herbs as people getting dual spec and need to get glyph for the new spec. I dumped quite a few TBC herbs on the AH with a markup price. =) Gems also sell well in AH. Just not as good as I expect. Potions probably will sell well also since people want to see the new Ulduar raid instance.
I am not quite prepare for the dual specs. I was respeccing on the fly last night. I already dropped 2k gold on my warrior and pally to get their dual specs activated. Another good thing is I got free respec. But it also sucks that I lost the spec I've already had before. Wish Blizzard let us choose to get free respec or not.
Most of the addons actually still work properly. In the past, it's a big hussle that none of the addons work and people would QQ for that.
Another new feature worth to mention is the new turtle mount u can get from fishing. But what's the fun with fishing? I don't really like it. But with the turtle mount that would drop, I may once again think about leveling my fishing skills.
Hopefully the server will be stable tonight so I can go pewpew with my fury warrior. I still want to tank through, but it's easier to get in horoic and people can take on less geared dps than a less geared tank.
Shaman Leveling talents and tips
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoWUseful Rogue leveling rotation, addon, and tips
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: Rogue, WoW - AddonRotation for leveling build
Quoted from my guild forum by Mike:
Learning from actually playing the class for quite some time, I'm sure some
of the other rogues would agree this basic leveling build would be best with
minimal downtime...http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0ec0egoiboIuho0xMZbb
as far as poisons are concerned, I would use deadly mainhand and wound
offhand with the build. I would hold off on replacing wound with Instant till
you are around 2200 ap or so. I believe that was what was determined the
crossover point between the two with imp poisons. Rotation should be something
along the lines of Cheapshot, Mutilate, Envenom, mutilate, kidneyshot, dead. I'm
not a big fan of HfB since it is easily overlooked, even though the 15% damage
is nice.
Another comment by Derek
I use wound poison on both blades (wound poison's damage at 50% application
chance is greater than instant poison's at 20% and it has a better chance to
proc before my first mutilate, boosting its damage) and do the following:Cheap Shot, Mutilate, Eviscerate, Mutilate
- or -
Cheap Shot, Mutilate, Kidney Shot, Mutilate, Eviscerate
If the first mutilate and melee during cheap shot reduces the target to ~50%,
I just eviscerate. If not or if they deal a lot of damage, I use kidney shot.
One more mutilate and the following eviscerate is usually enough to finish them
off. If they have a lot of health or armor, I might throw a second mutilate in
to get a full 5-point eviscerate. Also, I don't wait for 5 CPs before casting
kidney shot or eviscerate. I just blow them at 4. Since you have Relentless
Strikes and I don't (yet), you might want to try Cheap Shot, Mutilate, Kidney
Shot, Mutilate, Mutilate, Eviscerate on everything. I used to wait until I was
at full energy before using Kidney Shot in order to maximize my damage with the
9% bonus, but I quit and now I take less damage.
Addons:
I would suggest the following addons, not just for rogue, but for every class

Tired weekend summary
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: GeneralI went to play bball on Friday night for the first time since Feb. Oh boy, after 2 full-court games, I was exhaulted and had to sit out for the next 2 games. After that, we played half court games until 2am. O_O
Next day I woke up I felt sooooo sore and tired. But my friend called me to go play outdoor. WHAT? Outdoor? Oh well, since the place is closed by. I played for 2 hours (sigh).
Somehow I survived for the whole day until 4am with my body broken down completely. I even got my tanking trinket from Hall of Lightning (FINALLY) after at least cleared it 8 times. Thanks to guildie Coda help me out.
On Sunday, we friends came over to chat work lunch talk until 4ish. After they left I jumped on wow and I started doing my dailies. As I kept playing, I started falling asleep. I was able to hang until WG finished then I jumped into my bed around 6.
I was totally past out. I woke up like 10pm and remembered I had to finish my daily quests in wow. I logged back into wow and shortly after friends whispered me and asked me to go raid. I was like SURE!! I quickly fixed my sandwich and drank up enough water and played till 2:30. woho!! Way to be Jon.
Spirestone was ownd
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoW - Raidhttp://www.wowinsider.com/2009/04/03/around-azeroth-multiplicity/
Man, it was crazy. I got home late last nite, probably 7:30, log on wow and tried to do the Son of xxxx Dailies. I flew around and couldn't find any mobs to kill. Then I tried to turned in a quest I completed earlier, the NPC just not there.
I thought it's just that zone has problem, so I log on my warrior and checked out what's going on in Dalaran. Oh boy, there's no NPC, can't pick up the cooking daily, the portal to major cities were gone, can't access the bank (b/c the cashier not there!!).
Then I asked in Guild chat what's happening, it apparently the whole Northtrend server having problems. So I log on my shammy in TBC, which is fine over there. But then I don't feel like leveling, so I just went on to fixing something to eat.
Log on later for the 10pm raid, at least the instance server was up. We finished up the Naxx we left off from Tuesday. Then went to do our 2 Drake Sartharion. After a few wipes and learnt. We saw the server announced there would be a reset in 15minutes. So we quickly buffed up and tried to squeeze in 1 more attempt. I don't know if it's b/c people knew it would be our last attempt of the night or not, we somehow pulled it off.
With less than 2 minutes left to hand out the loot, we quickly roll for the Dragon Hide Bag and some other loots I don't care about. But the most important loot, Illustration of the Dragon Soul which I finally got it. I quickly equipped it just in case Blizzard took a snap shot of what I've been wearing before they restarted the server. Shortly after that (less than 30sec), the server restarted and kicked everyone out of the game.
I logged back in after 5minutes later and luckily my trinket is still there!!! Our raid attempted to get in Melogos but the instance server couldn't bring back up. So some of us decided to raid the horde cities to get our Black War Bear. Every horde cities we went were pretty much empty. Must be people didn't even border to log back on. Perfect time to do For the Alliance!.

I doubt any of my friends remember it's Earth Day. I was at Little Sheep Hotpot (小肥羊)http://www.littlesheephotpot.com/ that night with 2x Mandys. They told me it would be a bit pricey, but didn't expect that pricey. O_O.
An order of hand cut beef slice: $7.95. Hmmmm, next time I will just go to supermarket to buy the best hotpot beef and probably 10 bucks and double or triple that amount of beef. The lamb ball, fish ball, shrimp ball are all good. The soup based is awesome. But the 'fun-see' is $3.95 per order. It's a good ONE-TIME experience. No more next time for the poor guy. haha.
Afterward, they tricked me to karaoke. They told me free drinks there since they paying 35 bucks an hour. When it comes to free, I can't say no, right? When we got to that karaoke right above Ming Sing noodles, we found out drinks are not covered. WTH?? No all-you-can-drink?? Oh well... at least I sat there for 2 hours and enjoyed their singing. If I didn't go, I probably playing wow at home.
Shame on them brought me to expensive place and tricked me to karaoke with no free drinks!! I will make them pay for dinner next time.

pappadeaux X2 in a week
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: GeneralWent to pappadeaux on Thurs for Brian L. birthday. Didn't take the crawfish b/c they are 5.95 instead of 3.95 specials on Mon. and Tues. Had expensive mahi-mahi and not filled me up. O_o
Then on Sunday grandma asked me to go fix her often-not-working tv cable box and had to go out to eat with her. She wanted to have the fondue from Pappadeaux. Although I didn't really want to go back to have more seafood, I didn't want to think where to go, so ended up bought her the shrimp and crawfish fondue and 2 dozen of oysters. Oysters were so tiny like the one we ordered on Thurs. When they will have bigger oyster?? Still haven't had crawfish this season.
Kit supposed to have crawfish dinner with me today. I guess he forgot. Oh well.... guess stay home to watch 24.
Naxx 10man on my druid
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoW - RaidI was invited to the 10 man Naxx raid on Sunday night on my druid. We went through 2 1/2 wings with a few wipes (probably b/c my noob healing) and Ishka was the only other healer.
First off the bat we wiped at the first boss. I thought that probably not a good idea with my being the 2nd healer. 2nd boss we wiped... again!?! As we went on, things going along more smoothly.
We resumed last night and finish the rest of the Naxx with me as the 3rd healer.. Got a few gears, which was nice. Hope I did a decent job as I get more experience. No wws was recorded.

Ruby Tuesday B1G1F
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: CouponTook my parents to there with this coupon last Wednesday (2/11/2009).
http://soconnectedclub.rubytuesday.com/hostedemail/email.htm?h=a0fa406fd183f1c965c61d9cd41347db
When we sat down, my mom first concerned was about the coupon, so we asked the waiter if that's valid and he said absolutely. Since it's buy one get one free entree, we ordered the steak and shrimp (or whatever it called), the BBQ ribs, and a regular burger with fries.
The only good food is the burger O_o. Their steak is not great, fried shrimp is too dry, and BBQ ribs not tasty, basically just BBQ sauce on top of the tasteless ribs.
By the time we were done, I gave the dummy my coupon and my credit card. When he came back with the check, he only took the cheap old burger price off the check. We asked him what's the deal and he started bullshitting the coupon would only took the lowest price entree off. After a few minutes of dissatisfied conversation, we asked him to get his manager. After a long wait while I watching Lost on the tv, the manager came back with the adjusted bill. The Sugar Land Ruby Tuesday did us a favor for scaring us away and we would not go back even with B1G2Free coupon.
I would NOT recommend that shxtty place to anyone. Food is shxtty and dummy waiter tried to screw us over. FAIL!!!

More on GRID healing setup
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoW - AddonI was able to setup the GRID with color coding on the hot, but what I really want is a text indicator or a count down some sort of things so I know when to recast Lifebloom. I went on to Plusheal.com and come across this awesome site on how to get the GRID setup the way I want. The best thing is you can copy the GRID setup from the site!! WOOT!!!

T7.5 Helm
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoW - RaidGood raid last night. We finished 25man Naxx in just 4 hours. Got the T7.5 Helm from the last boss. http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40416
Now it's time to find a meta gem to put in it. http://www.wowhead.com/?item=41285
Also, I am thinking of getting this ring to craft. http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42644
It's not too hard to craft. Hopefully someone in the guild can do it.
3D model for my WoW toon
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoWThis is pretty awesome. I can actually see my character in 3D.!!
The site is using the Flash 10. So you got to installed it first before you can view the 3D model.
Although they still have lots to develop, but I am impressed.

That's alot of dailies. My mage currently revered with all the major faction for now.
I also need to get my warrior to revered with Wyrmrest Accord so I get some good defensive gear. Man, that's alot of dailies to do.

Raid Framerate issue
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels: WoWI was finally got back in wow raid last night. Everything was running fine until we start killing stuffs. My framerate dropped from 40+ fps to 5 fps. I turned most of the video setting to minimum and I finally able to play with major lag.
After 2 hours of nonstop raiding and came to break time, I decided to shut down some addons. I wonder if it did help or b/c the wintergrasp was finally over. I was finally able to run with noticable lag, but I only got 9-10fps. Oh well, I guess need to find some fixes on it.
Need to update my video card driver and turn down some of my video card setting.
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=13771137372
BTW, running in full screen mode on my 23" is awesome. I haven't tried that since early days of wow while I need to swap around to check wowhead for questing.

What's New Year Revolution?
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy /Way to kicked off 2009. Basically play play play all day on 1/1/2009. Wait, did I go somewhere? Oh damn, it was last Thursday on christmas day went to Brian Leung's.... Good times.
I probably did my first lvl 80 heroic DtK.
Finished Hall of Lightning in Heoric mode and it's pain in the butt. Can't remember how many times we wiped at the last boss. The group damage is just too annoying for a pally healer. Got to get chain heal (shammy, baby).
Friday back to work before 8 since my boss told me to, there's virtually no traffic. Upload the application I wrote back in august and it went relatively smooth. Man, nhibernate, got to stay away from it. Looking back and now I remember the app supposed to be released in September but then Ike hit us. Right before that I had to switch to work on the emergency site for a week to make sure people can access it when hurricane hit us. Anyway, the nhibernate project got forgotten in the test server for 4 months. I blame it on my boss for the delay release.. hehehe.
After having lunch with the ladies crew, went to gym. Yes, I went to gym, finally for the first time in the past 2 weeks. Guess I too concentrated on wow after I got home, totally skipped dinner and hit the sack around 1.
Saturday was wow day!! I mean real wow day. Woke up in the morning around 8:30am and played till 4am. I only stopped for human nature and food + shower. Man, never have enough wow.
Sunday back to normal and work for the whole day. Good that I was not driving. Good nap!!!
New Year Eve
Author: Jon aka Poor Guy /Went to Cordua @8pm. Nice restaurant, but the steak is too tiny. It's like an expensive fajita steak with side dish instead of tortillas. Personally I won't call it a 'steak' at all. Way too thin.
Anyway, it was a fun night. Talk talk talk until 11:30 and we decided to have some firework fun. I was expecting to spend a few bucks but ended up only spent under 30 total, although we didn't have big time firework, I wouldnt complain. Watching other people nonstop firework from their backyard was quite fun, but they must be burning money as fast as the firework shooting up in the air. Aren't we in economic recession???
After got home from firework and took a shower, turned on my computer and first thing I did was to finish my wow daily quest. It's like go to work everyday, rinse and repeat for grinding reputation. I don't even remember what time I went to bed, maybe around 3.
