Dream, weird dream

Author: Jon aka Poor Guy /

Got a weird dream last night. I was ready to head home from seattle. Then at the airport I realized I didn't have all my lugguages. :O Must have left them at my friend's house. and somehow someone dropped me off and I had to call my friend and told him I left some of my belongings at his place. Shxtty shxtty. Where is my camera bag?? How could I forget about it. Major fail.

Better hope it's not happening in real life. I bet it won't happen in the near future until I am old man and forgetting stuffs... what's ur name? :O

Getting Serivce Book for Blackberry

Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels:

After doing extended research on how to "hack" my Blackberry, finally got the BB browser to work. All I really need to is get the service book from other people, (backup the original one just in case) load it to my phone. I still don't have push email yet, but I am happy to get the internet to work, except some site (e.g. BB main site) just can't be opened even I enabled the javascript.

I was able to install MSN Live Messenger and google Mail. But they both can't connect. From what I've read, both not suppose to work without BIS. I have to use a 3rd party IM software --Beejive-- to get msn and google talk to work on my Tour.

At this point, I don't feel like to pay extra 10 bucks per month just to get the push email and IM to work. I don't really need any BB app anyway. All I care is IM and check email, push email is convenient but not a must for me.

Blackberry Tour

Author: Jon aka Poor Guy / Labels:

Finally decided to go with the Blackberry Tour instead of the HTC TouchPro2.
I ordered my phone last Thursday, and it arrived the next day.

First thing I tried to do is opened up the battery compartment. I followed the instructions... push the button at the bottom and SLIDE down. I keep trying to slide the door down. But kept failing. WTF this door is so hard to push? I finally gave up and went back to my wow for the rest of the night.

The next morning I tried it again, someone I tried to pop it up instead of sliding it down, bang, opened it up and put the battery in. After charging the battery for the whole morning, I tried to activate the phone. Went to Sprint and try to login, and the damn login page was not working for the whole fxxking weekend. The god damn instruction came with the box told me to activate online, kept trying and trying and fxking not working. after several hours of struggle and given Sprint time to put the service back online, I finally decided to activate my phone thru CSR. (BTW, sprint CSRs are the most inconsistent ever). Surprisingly the activation went smoothly with this lady definitely from some outsource company with heavy Indian accent.

Ok, first step is down. Next step is to get internet to work with my new BB. I have been reading forums and forums about how to get the serice book pushed to the BB. First try, CSR told me I need to add 30 dollars BIS (blackberry internet service) on top of my existing plan. Told her no thx and I hang up.
2nd try, got to a lady that finally knew what's happening after I told her my BB browser not working. She said most likely I need the $10 BIS addon, which I was hoping for free service book pushed according to most forum post, although $10 BIS is the next best option. So I told her to add the BIS in and see if that fix my problem. No, even with BIS and hard reset, BB Browser still not working. Then she transferred me to BB support. The guy there kept telling me I need a $30 BIS. No point to argue with him since he's not knowing all the special offer code. I told him I will think about it before I decide, so I hang up again. 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th calls still no luck.

After all these I decided to install Mini Opera (some web browser for mobile phone) through BB Desktop Manager. hmmm... Mini Opera works, but I could not install any IM on the phone. gosh.... at least I can check email for now....

After digging deeper into another forum, I found a post about getting the backup service book restored to the BB and it would work, I can't wait to go home to try that.

Overall, I like the BB Tour. It's pretty slick with all the apps you can download(only if I get the service book). The typing and control take awhile to get used to after converting from a windows mobile phone to a BB.

WHATEVER!!

Somehow I hate "you know". My dad always said something similar in chinese. "Ming ng ming". Screw that, I just ignore him, even I know what kind of crap he said and where he tried to lead to. I just don't like whatever my dad said, after all, bunch of bull shxt.

Low Carb Diet

Finally met up with shxtty Dave on Thursday at Saltgrass. :O
I walked to the door that night and I saw a guy looking at me, hmmm.. I was wondering wtf was wrong with this guy, and as I walked closer toward the door, I recognized it's the shxtty Dave I had to meet today. WTF was wrong with him? He's not that fat shxtty guy (probably 230 lbs) anymore. He definitly looked whole lot skinner. FFS, he face not round like a ball anymore. He also shaved his head (where all the long hair go?). Good stuff good stuff.

We sat down at the table and as expected he asked for Dr. Pepper, except this time he wanted a diet one. Unfortunately Saltgrass has no diet cough medicine (I called Dr. Pepper cough medicine b/c it does taste like it, which I don't like).

He told me he stopped eating carb -- bread, rice, potato-- anything with sugars and starch is bad. Lots of poteins --- meat cheese, dairy are good, even fat. :O

After seeing he lost so much weight, I am tempted to try, so here is my so called "research"

"“No White Diet" works for many people. Basically, you just stop eating food with sugars, white flour (pasta, bread, cake, donuts, etc), white rice, and potatoes (some include milk). This effectively cuts back on the carbohydrate in your diet, especially the high glycemic types. Just realize that there are also white foods, such as tofu, cauliflower, and onions, that are low in carbs and good for you! "

whole wheat is just as bad as white
